As the biggest event of the awards season, it’s only natural that all the attendees bring everything they possibly can to the red carpet.
Lady Gaga reminded the world of what is Hollywood Glam, this Brandon Maxwell jumpsuit is simply incredible. The fit of the bodice is so perfect it might as well have been painted onto her skin while the palazzo pants and over skirt bring the elegant glamour she’s been channelling for past couple of years.
Cate Blanchett is truly a Queen when it comes to red carpet events, and this Armani Privé gown is no different. The fit is so perfect it gives the appearance it’s part of her while the colour is so unusual yet flattering you can’t help but adore it. My favourite part of this look; the exquisite applique flowers that turn the gown into an iconic Oscars gown.
Olivia Munn showed everyone how to bring a bold colour to a red carpet event in this Stella McCartney dress. The shade of orange made her skin glow whilst the material clung to her in the most flattering of ways. The simple hair and makeup kept the focus on the gown and made the entire look highly sophisticated.
Brie Larson underwhelmed in this Gucci dress, I adore it when anyone brings a bold colour to the red carpet, but that’s where my love for this dress ends. The material drowns her frame and appears as though the train is there because the gown was simply too long for her. Combined with this her hair and makeup was far too simple and the look just felt a little flat.
Alicia Vikander was so close to being perfect in this Louis Vuitton gown. The Disney princess Belle feel was magical as she walked down the red carpet, with the shade of yellow being incredible against her skin tone. However, the combination of the drop hem with the bubble hem makes the dress loose the impact the top half commands.
Kerry Washington stunned and shocked me in this Atelier Versace gown while it’s refreshing to see Actresses mixing it up on the red carpet this just didn’t work. The leather bodice was too heavy for her frame and doesn’t fit well around her bust. The fit of the skirt is incredible but looks out of place against the harshness of the bodice.
